Taiwan's Winning Invoice Number (Receipt Lottery)

Anyone who makes a purchase from any store in Taiwan gets a receipt (Papiao) with an 8 number combination. That 8 number combination will be your official lottery ticket to join the raffle happening every 25th day of each odd month.

If you're not getting it yet this is how it works, all the receipt that you have collected from the Month of January and February will be drawn on the 25th day of March and all of the Receipt you have accumulated from the 1st day of the month of March until the last day of April will be drawn on the 25th day of May. The result of the winning combination is posted on the Governments Tax Portal and on this website.

To win this lottery you just need to get at least the last 3 winning numbers from the "Regular Prize" Combination or in the "Additional 6th Prize" Combination. Below is the Chart where you can check if you have a winning combination.

So you might be wondering why on earth would the Government of Taiwan give a free lottery to its people? Get this, the Tax Bureau uses the receipt to document all of the sales transactions made to a specific establishment or store which are used for accounting and financial reporting.
