The Path to Success of an ex-OFW Rica Penalosa: How to Earn Php 25,000 Every Week
With so many negative news and heartbreaking stories surrounding OFW’s around the globe like marriages falling to pieces, families have torn apart as well as Filipinos abused and maltreated by their cruel employers, it is nice to hear positive anecdotes and inspirational tales that lift our hopes and spirits up. Such is the rags-to-riches saga of Mrs. Rica Penalosa who had to put up a brave face, leave her country behind and work as a jack-of-all-trades in Dubai so that she can give her family the good life that she deserves. But one day, it dawned on her that there is an opportunity for her to change her fate and become her own boss in the Philippines with her family instead of slaving away in a foreign land apart from them.
And that is exactly what she did as she pooled her resources together, grabbed the reins of her destiny, steered her life in the right direction and started her own small business in the food industry that eventually blossomed into a growing empire that set them up for life. But the road to success is not paved and smooth sailing all the way because when she started her food pushcart business near the prestigious De La Salle University along Taft Avenue in Metro Manila, she encountered roadblocks, hardships, and hindrances that would have discouraged lesser men from moving forward. There was even one time as she tearfully recalled when merciless policemen took her in custody, violently dispersed other street vendors and overturned her cart spilling food everywhere.
But instead of hanging her head low, feeling sorry for herself and calling it quits, she stiffened her upper lip and persevered because she knows that her grim determination will pay off big time in the long run as long as she does not give up. And since she is now earning more or less PHP 5,000.00 every day netting her something around the neighborhood of PHP 25,000.00 every week after taxes and paying off her employees, she never returned to Dubai again. She now lives comfortably with her growing family and this dream life can be yours, too, as long as you work hard, keep your head up, make wise decisions and stay on the right path even when things are not going your way at first.
