Since the invention of the internet, people’s lifestyles continuously evolved. In relation to technology, it had aided in connecting people from different places from all over the globe. This technology had also served as of technological a bridge for businesses to reach business partners and other stakeholders which are located in far off places from anywhere in the world. It had also provided opportunities to businesses to do remote tasks or oversee remote employees with ease through the intervention advancements.
In the present, Social media sites are now being mobilized by small businesses or self-employed business owners in selling their goods. Various goods are being sold by online sellers like clothing, jewelry, toys, and more.
A proof of the effectiveness of this selling technique is the experience of Madel Delos Santos or popularly known as “Ledam”. She earns a 7-digit profit every month. Her biggest earnings were 1 million Php which she earned in just one night.

Her online selling business started with a capital of 4thousand pesos.
In the show I-witness where she was interviewed by Atom Araullo, she shared her story on how her business grew into a multi-million empire.

When she was in Japan, she worked as an OFW and was joggling life as a mother of one toddler and a worker.

She decided that she needed to earn more. With only 4,000 Php in her wallet, she asked her family in the Philippines to use that money to buy her goods from Divisoria. When the items arrived in japan, she sold the products there at a price four times higher than the price it was bought in the Philippines.
As the success of the initial stunt in selling online, she continued that strategy. After sometime, she shifted from selling to the Japanese community to the Filipinos. She was able to buy and sell to Filipinos authentic branded goods from Japan that she bought at a cheaper price.
She sold online through Facebook Live. She would go live and sell to the online community. Some members of the online community prefer to buy products from sellers who showcase their actual products in videos.
Her reputation as an honest online seller who offers authentic goods had led her to acquire loyal customers.
A few sales later, she presently earns a 7-digit income every month and is 100% focused on managing her business. She is currently in the process of improving her family mansion which was born from her online selling gigs.
