Philippines is among the 53 Countries Granted with Free-Visa Entry to Russia
The Philippines is one of the countries who was given the privilege to travel to St. Petersburg and other nearby places in the Leningrad Region with a free electronic visa. The privilege will start on the first day of October.
The Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, released the announcement of the list of the countries that Russia had allowed to avail for a visa-free entry in St. Petersburg and other close places in the Leningrad Region. This was made possible upon the signing of the decree by Vladimir Putin, Russia’s President.
The primary reasons for the granting of the free-visa entry to the citizens of the 53 countries are business, tourism, and humanitarian purposes. The visa-free entry of the citizens from the fifty-three countries will be valid for an 8-day stay in St. Petersburg and other adjacent areas in the Leningrad Region.
The visa application should be done 4 days before but not earlier than 20 days before the trip.
