The 2020 Taipei 101 New Year Fireworks Event will Use 140,000 LED Lighting and T-pad Wall

The fireworks show for the Taipei 101 New Year’s Countdown for this year will include the latest LED lighting components with an animation feature handled by Taiwan Bar Studio.

According to Taipei Financial Center Corporation, this was the first statement made to the public regarding this year’s fireworks event. It also said that they had improved the show’s visual design through the use of the 140,000 LED lighting technology together with the T-Pad wall. The T-pad wall shields the external part of the Taipei 101 from the 35th floor to the 90th.

The T-pad technology used for showing videos had always been complemented by the fireworks show for the 2 previous years.

Taiwan Bar Studio will be providing their services to the event. They are known for their innovative and creative designs with Taiwan themes such as the Formosan black bear character named Beeru.

Liu Chia-hao, the COO of Taipei 101, had said that the budget for the 2020 New Year’s Fireworks event is NT $60 million or US$1.96 million. This budget will be used for the designing and use of LED lighting systems and the T-pad wall display.

The company had issued its keen devotion to lessening its carbon impact on the environment. They will live up to this cause by promising to use lesser amounts of fireworks compare to the ones used from the past years’ events. They will design the show to focus more on the fireworks and the T-pad video presentations.

The show will last for five minutes. Liu said that the viewers should watch out for some surprises during the Taipei 101 New Year fireworks event celebration.
