Philippine National Police to hire 17,000 new cops


The Philippine National Police is encouraging all Filipino citizens with the age of twenty-one to thirty to apply for the noble position of serving the country as part of its police force.

Under the recruitment program for the year 2020 and the partnership of the Department of Budget and Management and the National Police Commission, it had authorized the Philippine National Police to look for 17,000 personnel. 10,000 of the recruits will be for its yearly regular recruitments while the remaining 7,000 are for the replacement of retired employees, deceased, AWOL, dismissed, and other personnel who are relieved from their duties in the PNP.




Those who will be recruited to the first rank as a Police Patrolman will be given a salary every month of P 29,668 (excluding deductions). Aside from the monthly salary, the recruits will also be granted benefits and various allowances.


The PNP Director Lyndon Cubos reminds the interested individuals that they should possess all of the following:

1.A citizen of the Republic of the Philippines,

2. A Citizen with good moral character.

3. Passed all the tests that the Philippine National Police would be administering (Psychological tests, drug tests, and physical tests).

4. Attained a baccalaureate diploma from a reputable educational institution.

5.Possess the following eligibility requirements:

-PNP Entrance (NAPOLCOM)
-RA No. 1080 (Bar and Board Exams)
-PD No. 907 (CS eligibility to College Honor Graduates)




6.Was not discharge from military duties and any positions in the government through dishonorable means.
7. Was charged with a final judgment of a crime that primarily involves moral turpitude.

8. Height: minimum of 1.62 meters for male and 1.57 meters for female applicants.

9. Must not exceed or be below 5 kilograms of the required weight based on gender, age, and weight.
10. Age 21 to 30 years old.
