The Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) is considering added preventive measures for the spread of the 2019-nCoV in the country. It's high ranking authorities are planning to upgrade their preventive procedures. The TRA will also strictly require all passengers of trains to wear masks.

The TRA had released an announcement to the media that it had already enforced new preventive measures that started on January 23. It said that it will continue to cooperate with the government of Taiwan to help control the Wuhan virus outbreak. Train operators have advised their passengers to wear a mask. The passengers are being asked to be mindful of their health while riding the train.

According to the TRA, hand sanitizers and thermometers are already available for use in all train stations in Taiwan to help prevent the spread of the 2020 Coronavirus.

Some train stations in the country will be available to sell a limited number of surgical masks. All of the passengers will be required to put on a mask when the outbreak worsens. The people who will fail to adhere to this rule will not be allowed to travel through trains.

The TRA had announced that all trains are currently being sanitized and cleaned daily. The compartment’s temperatures are already being adjusted to reach approximately 22 degrees Celsius. This temperature reduces the chances of the virus transferring from one person to another. Proper sanitation is also being implemented in the lobby of stations, vending machines, waiting locations, elevators, and public comfort rooms, added the TRA.
