Budget-Friendly Travel Destinations for the Homecoming of OFW’s
After long months or even several years of excruciating and arduous wait as they combat pangs of loneliness in a foreign land, OFW’s are welling up with happiness and raring to come home so that they can finally spend some quality time with their friends and family.
This goes especially true for loving parents who want nothing more than to wrap their children around their warm and soothing embrace because it certainly soothes their exhaustion and takes their pain away. With that said, it is but natural for them to be tempted to splurge and squander their savings while on vacation. But they should step back and think twice because they need to bear the future in mind and the long run ahead while still having the time of their life with their loved ones at the same time.
Good thing that there are a lot of budget-friendly tourist destinations around the Philippines where they can get more bang for their buck. If they want to escape the scorching heat and heavy traffic of Metro Manila, they can climb the pristine and sacred mountains of Sagada which are just a few hours away from Baguio City by bus. And before heading back to the hustle and bustle of the city life once again, they can take a side trip to San Juan, La Union for a day or two so that they can work on their tans on the beach, learn how to surf and party with the locals all night long.
If they are up for some good, old-fashioned camping where they can roast marshmallows over the bonfire, sleep under the canopy of the moon and the stars as well as be one with Mother Nature once again, they can visit Mount Purro Nature Reserve nestled at the foothills of the mystical Sierra Madre Mountain Range. It is a quaint, quiet and peaceful place where people can unwind, meditate and do some soul searching as they free their mind and melt the stress away with fun and relaxing activities for the whole family.
Last but most certainly not the least, for people especially young children who love to interact with different kinds of animals, they can visit Manila Ocean Park in Pasay City, Avilon Zoo in Rodriguez, Rizal or Zoobic Safari in Pampanga where the animals are treated humanely and given the proper care that they need.
