Hassle Free Ways for OFW's to Get in Touch with SSS Officers and Representatives while abroad

Since Overseas Filipino Workers are the modern-day lifeblood of the economy and stalwart pillars of society, they deserve to be heralded as such and enjoy the perks they have earned with their hard work and honest labor through the years.

Good thing that with the provisions included in the House Bill for mandatory Social Security System coverage for OFWs, they can now enjoy a lot of the benefits that they have rightfully earned like the FlexiFund initiative and OFW-SSS Coverage Program.

However, because of the time difference, schedule constraints and geographical distance, some OFW’s are having a difficult time reaching out to learn more about the services and information that they need like record verification, loan processing, contribution updates, retirement benefits and what not.

Thanks to technological developments especially in the field of communication, there are different channels, mediums, and avenues where OFW’s can reach out and get in touch with an SSS officer who will gladly answer all of their inquiries. First of all, they can send an email to relations@sss.gov.ph or visit their website but if they want to speak directly to an agent because of an urgent matter, they can try calling the landline numbers (02) 364-7796 to 98.

If they are out of the house and they do not have immediate access to a landline connection, they can still use their mobile phone to call or send a text message to +63-977-804-8668 for Globe and +63-998-847-4092 for Smart.

You can also contact them using your Line, Viber and WeChat account by simple searching their Globe and Smart number.

If making an international, toll-free direct call is not an issue, you can also get in touch with an SSS representative by calling the following toll-free numbers below

8000-6094 - Bahrain
801-4275 -Brunei
001-800-0225-5777 -Hong Kong or Singapore
800-0630-0038 - UAE
800-863-0022 - Saudi Arabia
00-800-100-260 - Qatar
00-800-0225-577 - Malaysia, Taiwan, Italy and United Kingdom.

Finally, since there are a lot of OFW’s who are glued to their phone and laptops during their free time as they update their personal profiles, browse through their newsfeed and stay in touch with their loved ones using different social media websites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, they can also send a direct message to the official SSS account on these platforms. They have account managers who are more than willing to help them out and shed light on all of their frequently asked questions.
