Taoyuan Plant of Ruentex Industries to be closed on April, 141 migrant workers will all be laid off

On a press conference held last February 22, The Ruentex had announced that it will be closing its Textile factory in Yangmei District in Taoyuan.

Ruentex Industries said that on April 26 they will finally shut down the production operation in Taoyuan for they could no longer bear the amount that is being lost every year.

The Closure of the said plant will affect 303 of its employees 141 of those employees are migrant workers and the rest are Taiwanese.

According to them, there are at least 162 Taiwanese that will be affected, some of them will be laid off and some of them will be transferred to other operations of the company.  While the 141 migrant workers will all be laid off.
