Teenager Survives fall from the 13th floor after Landing on a Black SUV



Renai Road Residence of Yonghe District, New Taipei, Taiwan had witnessed the suicide attempt of a seventeen-year-old high school student surnamed as Lu at around six o’clock in the evening of February 16, 2019.

According to local media reports, the student had jumped from the 13th floor of the Renai Road Residence after leaving his bag behind.

It was reported that Lu had hit multiple layers of tree branches before finally landing on the roof of an SUV. The surname of the driver is Wu, thirty-eight years old. There was a big dent left behind in the roof of the SUV and shattered glass from the car’s destroyed windscreen. The incident gave the driver minor cuts in his hand.


At the arrival of the paramedics, it was found out that Lu still had vital signs. He was rushed to the nearest hospital. He regained consciousness and was able to give his statement to the doctor. He suffered injuries that required him to undergo surgeries for his chest injury, an open fracture in his arm and other multiple fractures.

Later on, Lu’s family opened-up that he had been medically suffering depression in the past and was given medical treatment. Lu’s family also added that they suspect that his suicide attempt was due to academic pressure.
