President Duterte Wants Sangley Airport to start its Operations in November and not in December
Based on a statement from the Malacanang, President Rodrigo Duterte desires to start the operation of the Sangley Airport by November to solve the discomforts in the currently existing airports in the Philippines.
Salvador Panelo, the Presidential Spokesperson, stated that President Rodrigo Duterte had issued an order to Arthur Tugade, the Transportation Secretary, during the 38th Cabinet meeting held in Malacanang on the evening of Monday this week.
According to the Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo, President Rodrigo Duterte was “displeased” with the discomforts experienced by the visitors in the already existing airports in the Philippines like delay and cancellation of flights. He especially mentioned those inconveniences to be in the Ninoy Aquino Internation Airport (NAIA) on Sunday.
Salvador Panelo said that President Duterte had hinted to NAIA’s officials for a renovation in the said airport.
Panelo said that President Duterte stated that he plans on helping in renovating and improving the NAIA’s services.
The president of the Philippines did not explain further his discomforts in the NAIA airport but what Panelo can assure of is that the President is displeased with the services of the airport.
President Duterte strongly desires for the Sangley Airport to start its operations on November and not on December as Tugade had initially suggested.
