AirAsia to Start Route from Kaohsiung, Taiwan to Clark Starting August 1 This Year
According to an article posted by the Manila Economic and Cultural Office or MECO, AirAsia had released a statement on Thursday, May 30, 2019, about the availability of a new flight route between Kaohsiung in Taiwan and Clark in the Philippines. The new flight route will be made available to travelers starting 1st of August this year.
AirAsia is an airline company native to Malaysia and is based in Kuala Lumpur. It had identified a high demand by the air travel market in the Southern parts of Taiwan.
According to the reports from Liberty Times, the tickets for the new AirAsia route from Kaohsiung to Clark are already available. A single journey ticket costs NT $488 (exclusive of tax).
The pocket-friendly Malaysian Airline company had started flying routes from Taipei to Clark in July 2018. The route had been a success as it had mainly become useful for people who go on business trips and for people who are on a strict travel budget.
The arrival of the new route from Kaohsiung in Taiwan to Clark in the Philippines will attract more Taiwanese travelers to visit the Philippines. For most travelers, Clark, Pampanga had been an ideal transfer center to different Philippine attractions like in Palawan and Iloilo.
Clark is also known as the Clark Freeport Zone. It is a renovated area which was previously a United States Airbase in the province of Pampanga. It was revived to serve as a “green city”. It is an hour away from Manila, the country’s capital city. It is also an hour away from Subic Bay which is also a famous tourist attraction in the Philippines.
