Taiwan Confirms 5th case of Coronavirus from China

Taiwan Reports 5th Wuhan Coronavirus Case
A 50-year-old woman from Central Taiwan was reported to be the fifth one to get infected by the 2019-nCoV or the novel coronavirus, said the Ministry of Health and Welfare on Monday.

It was reported that the woman had visited Wuhan City for work in October. She was tested positive for the virus.

It was revealed that she had worked in the same area in Wuhan, where the first case of the Coronavirus in Taiwan had caught the disease.

The first Wuhan virus case in Taiwan was reported to the public on January 21.

The woman boarded the same flight the day before their arrival on the island. However, they were sitting 20 rows apart, which means that the woman did not get the virus from the flight.

Currently, health authorities are in the process of investigating and tracing the movements of the infected woman to determine the places where she might have caught the disease.

The fourth case of the Wuhan coronavirus in Taiwan was reported on the evening of January 26. The infected person was also a woman who is believed to be in her 50s. It was found out that this woman also visited Wuhan City and Europe before traveling back to Taiwan.
