₱10,000 cash assistance to be given to OFW's affected by COVID-19

The Department of Labor had announced on March 25, 2020, that it will give ₱10,000 cash assistance to OFW's who are affected by COVID-19.

This announcement was confirmed on Facebook by Presidential Communications.


According to the Facebook post of the Presidential Communications, Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a total of 70,000 displaced Overseas Filipino Workers will benefit from this program.

For those OFW's who want to avail of this program, they must submit a certificate of employment issued by their respective agencies to the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in their host country, or to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in the Philippines.
