CDC announced 19 new more case of COVID-19 in Taiwan



New 19 cases of coronavirus are confirmed, announced as of March 25 by the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC). 12 patients are confirmed to be women, while seven are men which ages range between 10 to 69 years old.


The patients entered Taiwan between March 12 and 22 and showed symptoms between March 15 and 23. Before being diagnosed these patients traveled to United Kingdom, Turkey, Netherlands, Egypt, Belgium, France, and Thailand.

The four patients (222nd to 225th) studied on abroad with the same education institution in the UK as 152nd case. They got detected at the arrival on airport in Taiwan and reported to the health agencies on March 22. They were tested positive on March 25.


According to the investigation, the infection is between clusters on campus. The 226th case is a member of a travel group in Egypt. During the period of isolation at home, he experienced having a dry throat on March 21. The health officials prepared medical care . It was confirmed that the patient was positive in the laboratory. The ten individuals and involving the tour group have been positive for COVID-19. The group has nine members and only have one contact.

The 233th case visited in UK on December 2019 to study. The individual didn't appear to have any symptoms between the arrival in Taiwan and the return to home for quarantine. The patient showed symptoms on March 23. Health unit arranged medical care for the patient. 233th case was confirmed for the COVID-19 on March 25. Other 13 cases are not connected to other confirmed cases.
