DFA reports 335 Filipinos abroad tested positive for COVID-19



According to the latest figures released by the Department of Foreign affairs (DFA) as of March 29, 2020, there are 335 confirmed cases of  Overseas Filipinos who have contracted the Coronavirus Disease COVID-19.

In the Asia Pacific region, there are a total of 173 confirmed cases of Overseas Filipinos who contracted COVID-19. 83 of those are still undergoing treatment,89 have been discharged and 1 person died.


In the Middle East, there are 47 Confirmed cases of Overseas Filipinos who contracted COVID-19  44 people are still undergoing treatment and 2 have been discharged and 1 person died.

In Europe, a total of 86 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed by the DFA.  78 people are still undergoing treatment, 6 have been discharged and 2 people died.



In America, a total fo 29 Overseas Filipinos were confirmed to have contracted COVID-19.
15 people are still undergoing treatment and 14 has been discharged with zero fatality.

Overall there are 335 confirmed cases of Overseas Filipinos who have contracted the virus. 220 of those are still undergoing medical treatment while 111 people have been discharged and 4 people have died.
