187 New local COVID-19 cases have been reported and 6th day with less than 200 cases

June18,2021, 188 new cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan have been announced by The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), today also marks the 6th day of having less than 200 COVID-19 cases.

Chen Shih-Chung head of CECC and Taiwan's health minister has announced 188 new COVID-19 cases in Taiwan, including 187 local infections and 1 imported. The latest local COVID case includes 83 males and 104 females.

Chen also announced 21 deaths due to COVID-19 and it includes 12 men and 9 women with ages ranging from 50-90 yrs old. bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 518.

In today's imported case it involves 1 crew member of an Indian ship in his 30's.
