Free Rides for students in MRT3, LRT3, and PNR

As announced by the Transportation Secretary of the Department of Transportation or the DOTr, Arthur Tugade, this Thursday, students will be given the privilege to ride from Monday to Friday but excluding holidays in the Metro Rail Transit 3, Light Rail Transit 2, and the Philippine National Railways for free starting on the first day of July this year.




Students will also be able to enjoy free terminal fee in the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) seaports, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) airports.

The project is in partnership with the Metro Rail Transit (MRT), the Light Rail Transit (LRT), the Philippine National Railways (PNR), the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). The project is established to help make the lives of the Filipinos more comfortable and to support President Rodrigo Duterte’s plan for the betterment of the lives of the Filipino people.




Students will be given free rides on the MRT 3 from five o’clock to six thirty in the morning and from three in the afternoon to four thirty in the afternoon.

The LRT2 will be given free rides from four thirty in the morning to six o’clock in the morning and from three to four thirty in the afternoon.

In the PNR, free rides will be given to students from five to six in the morning and from three to four in the afternoon.
