BOCA reminds Taiwanese Travellers to the Philippines to be Careful for Dengue, Terrorists Attacks and more
The government of Taiwan had released a warning about traveling to the Philippines because of the increase in the number of cases of dengue fever suffered by the Filipinos in their country.
Based on the data collected from the authorities from the Philippines, 456 people had met death due to the complications brought by dengue fever. It is made known that more than 106,00 dengue fever cases had been reported by the end of the first half of the year which had increased to 85 percent compared to their records of last year’s dengue fever cases.
Taiwan’s Bureau of Consular Affairs or BOCA had released a statement to the people of Taiwan living and planning to travel to the Philippines to conduct preventive measures that would keep them safe from the harms of dengue fever.
BOCA also gives additional reminders for travelers to the Philippines to be careful of some places they will be traveling. It reminded them of the multiple deadly attacks suffered by some of the Philippines’ churches, specifically in Mindanao, Sulu, and Jolo. The attacks were believed to have been the responsibility of the Islamic State.
BOCA also reminds Taiwanese to follow the Philippines’ laws and regulation and provide sincere cooperation with any government authority, if ever their help is needed.
Taiwanese travelers to the Philippines are advised by BOCA to visit Taiwan’s representative office in the Philippines in cases of emergencies.
