Snow starts falling on Friday Morning in Taiwan’s Northern Region (Snow Mountain)
The snow in Xueshan (Snow Mountain) had started to fall on Friday. The snow started to fall on the 2nd highest peak in Taiwan because of the seasoned northeastern winds and the clouds from the south of the country had brought an intense amount of moisture in the air.
According to the office of the Shei-Pa National Park, sleet had started to fall at 1.48 in the morning on Friday on the 3,886-meter tall mountain before the snow finally fell at approximately nine in the morning.
It was the first-ever recorded snow in the country for this year’s winter season.
According to the Central Weather Bureau, it is expected that the cool and rainy climate will continue in the region with a temperature of sixteen to seventeen degrees Celsius during the daytime.
In the southern and eastern parts of the country such as in Taitung and Hualien, the temperature is predicted to reach twenty degrees Celsius.
The volume of cool air may probably bring the temperatures of the northern and north-eastern parts of the country at a low temperature of twelve degrees Celsius.
