Health and Welfare Minister reports 9th case of Coronavirus in Taiwan
Taipei, Taiwan - January 29, 2019, the 9th case of coronavirus (201-nCoV) on Taiwan has been announced to the public.
It has been announced by Chen Shih-Chung Taiwan's Health and Welfare Ministry in a conference that was held today that a Taiwanese man who was working in Wuhan a province of China has been positively diagnosed with 2019 Novelcoronavirus.
It was on January 12 when the said Taiwanese man arrived in Taiwan from Wuhan and was admitted to the hospital on January 28, 16 days after his arrival.
The ministry also said that on that day this man has minor symptoms of cold with cough and a runny nose but has no high fever.
The lack of fever has precluded the said man from having medical attention he thought that it was just a minor cold that is why they didn't inform the authorities.
When his wife was diagnosed with coronavirus he immediately sought medical attention. Now that both of them has positively diagnosed with the disease the authorities are now tracking and monitoring their families and friends whom they had come into contact.
