3 hoarders who over priced alcohol got arrested



The hoarders got arrested in different entrapment operation of PNP-CIDG and by those people from  DTI in Caloocan City and Sta. Cruz Manila because of hoarding alcohol and overpricing.

According to PNP Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, the first arrested group, Jeffrey Zapanta and Albert Mandap, are located in Sagandaan, Caloocan.


They got caught selling 500ml Ethyl Alcohol online for the price of P140 when the original price is only P61.00 up to P74.25.

The third suspect is Evangeline Salazar Endozo, a saleslady of JKOS Medical Supplies and Equipment. She was arrested at Bambang, Sta. Cruz, Manila. They received a complaint from the consumers that she is selling 60 ml of alcohol for the price of P80.00.

They confiscated 1,380 bottles of 500ml, 60ml, and 40ml ethyl alcohol with the market value of P231,000 at the store.


Banac said that the suspects will face multiple cases for violating Republic Act 7581 (Price Act) Article 14 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines (Aggravating Circumstances) and "Anti-Hoarding and Anti-Panic Buying," Under of Proclamation No. 922 of President Duterte.
