PH News | Labor Secretary Bello announced that DOLE will give 5,000 financial assistance to workers

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will start on giving P5,000 of one-time financial assistance for the workers that are affected by the enhanced community quarantine, according to Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III.


He elaborated that all the workers who are not able to work will be able to receive P5,000 because of the raising case of coronavirus. They will be given help for their financial needs at one time.

Even so, he explained that those people who will receive P5,000 are only those who are included in the payroll that was passed by the employer at DOLE.


Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Displaced/Underprivileged Workers (TUPAD) also declared to give financial assistance for those informal workers, which will start this day.

All those people that they included are street vendors, tricycle drivers, those who live in the streets. They promised to give a minimum wage rate for disinfecting their location.
