A 42-year-old Overseas Filipino Worker was found dead in Pasay City, hanging by a stairway railing inside room of a converted quarantine facility for returning OFWs. Police believed that she committed suicide due to severe depression.
Her lifeless form was discovered by her colleagues on a Sunday morning 6:00 a.m., a fabric scarf was wrapped around her neck connected underneath the staircase.
She was identified as Algen Cadungog, a resident of Demapaco Libungan, Cotabato City.
The victim arrived at the country coming from Kuwait on April 4 and was in quarantine with other OFW witnesses Edna Maturan, 51, and Noemi Gorospe, 38, at a lodging house in Barangay 76 Zone 10.
She was last seen anxious at around 4:00 a.m. by the witnesses. The authorities said that the victim was alleged in trying to commit suicide back in Kuwait. Her reasons for doing so weren't still identified.
