Duterte offers P20 Million to any Filipino who can develop resperator

Reward of P20 million will be given for any Filipino
for the development of respirator

President Duterte granted a P20-million reward to any Filipino who can invent respirators for patients with COVID-19, Malacañang declared yesterday (April 29).



Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said the respirators should outlast the lives of patients.

Roque mentioned that Duterte devised the offer due to the high demand of respirators and ventilators for treating patients with COVID-19.



The President wished for Filipinos to include them in leading the research and improvement of local respirators as part of the government's cause to fight the disease according to Roque.

The President is also willing to administer a grant for their achievement to the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital.
